The Gender Authors Write About When They Write About [Joy]
Ideas
My #ironviz: I've learnt about the many versions of Shakespear plays & Ullysess. I've read about banned books, about bookclub choices, Marval heroes, author pseudonyms & that Poriot has 45 books. None of this led to a viz.

Learn
I've learnt the tidyverse package in R about topic modelling and LDA. None of this led to an #IronViz

Do
My lack of ideas & execution has annoyed me most days, even at work. I've kept off Twitter so not to be distracted by others posting their splendid entries. And then I saw @AnnUJackson #IronViz entry. The bar had got a little bit too high.

I completed 2 vizzes & hated them. I mean *really* loathed them. This is what #IronViz does to you…sometimes it's not that fun. This weekend I've cobbled something together. An attempt to feel less of a failure, to show something for 3 weeks work.

And thanks to @chrisluv for (still) showing me Tableau….How to do a small multiple with NULLs in the data. It took him a minute, I'd spent a couple of hours on it. He should do a blog. He's incredibly talented you know.

Viz
My #IronViz : The Gender Authors Write About When They Write About Joy. No curves. No images. No long form design. Just a small multiple chart.https://t.co/UHYffLVPwx pic.twitter.com/BR4okHLuAE
