Who Cares? The inequality of health care across England

I missed the memo that the health ironviz had to be funny, cool, personal or touching and designed for a magazine. And it shouldn’t have lots of text. Of course, I didn’t do any of those things except have lots of text.

Anyway, I decided to extend the analysis on unpaid care and health care by Professor Danny Dorling who over many years has championed using Census data to understand social change in the UK. It’s a suprisingly underused dataset considering how detailed the Census data set is.

It’s also suprising how simple analysis and simple charts provide a deep understanding of how healthcare and unpaid care works in England.
